    Volunteering for Charities:

Rina and her family have long supported and volunteered for several local and national philanthropic organizations. She is especially pleased with participating on the Women in Medicine Committee between 2018 and 2021. This organization gives leadership and guidance to prospective and freshly employed female healthcare practitioners to help them grow and succeed.

While practically all professions have a shortage of female-to-female sponsorship, the medical business is facing new and unprecedented hurdles in advancing women to directors and executive management levels.

Dr Rina Caprarella and the other committee members are continually brainstorming solutions to the issues that women confront as medical doctors. Two examples are salary discrepancies and a lack of a more inclusive work-life balance.

    Personal Achievements and Interests:

Caprarella contributed a highly technical "Causes and Management of Myopathy" chapter to a well-known and published medical work. Myopathy is a muscle tissue illness that causes patients to experience muscular weakness, cramping, or stiffness.

Dr Caprarella likes travelling in her leisure time to be emotionally and physically well. As she travels, she notices that people move more, breathe more fresh air, and get healthy amounts of vitamin D from the sun. Travelling can also help to overcome burnout from working too many hours, which has been increasingly common among medical professionals in recent years.

Travelling has excellent psychological advantages. When you detach from daily life, you have the opportunity to recharge your mind and revitalize your spirit. Dr Caprarella believes that when we encounter the ingenuity of diverse cultures and the beauty of new settings, we grow happier and more thankful.
